Making mental connections

Last week I experimented making veins and synapses using flameworked rods.  I was happy with the results and have considered the best approach for making them.

It was easier if I made separate pieces, shaped them and then attached them.  This way I could reshape elements as I added new parts.  I also had one of the plaster plugs handy to check the size and dimensions.
