I see conduits of mass movements as likely non places and nothing handles mass information like the human brain. Tonight I used flameworking to create cerebral veins and neurons. I like how these are shaping up.
This is a blog of my experience studying a Degree in Art & Design at Forth Valley College, Stirling - specialising in glass art. I'll capture my day to day activities, areas of research, art works and images that capture my imagination and inspire me. I am also looking at a start up business ...in glass, providing customer focused stained glass panels and kiln formed glass artefacts. Visit www.in-glass.uk to see examples of my work.

A penny for your thoughts
After racking my brain I thought, why not use a brain!
I'm now exploring how I can cast a brain in glass so have started my mould making; time to get clay and plaster under my nails.😏

Non Places
The theme for my next college brief is 'non place':
Non-place or nonplace is a neologism coined by the French anthropologist Marc Augé to refer to anthropological spaces of transience where the human beings remain anonymous and that do not hold enough significance to be regarded as "places".
I'm going to have to rack my brains for this one....
